The North County Prayer Breakfast was established in 2004. The intent, from the beginning, was to provide a morning of prayer, scheduled around the National Day of Prayer, that would reflect the Judeo-Christian expression of that day. It has been held at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido each year and the program has provided an inspirational speaker and then times of prayer from individuals representing their various fields of endeavor such as law enforcement, the fire fighters, politicians, and the military. The mission is that God would draw us to Himself using our prayer to further His Will within our cities and communities The hoped for byproducts are a creation of unity among the various churches in the community and an opportunity for many to experience personally the wonderful power and spiritual encouragement that comes with prayer in a community like setting.

Following the 2007 Prayer breakfast, a monthly time of prayer for our cities has been established. The NCPB Prayer Group is open to all and currently meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the California Center for the Arts. Address is 340 Escondido Blvd., Escondido - Escondido Room for an hour of prayer from Noon to 1pm. This is a time strictly devoted to the needs of our cities and the entire hour is spent in prayer.
