There is something very special about our prayer times together at noon. With such a wonderful turnout, not only do we feel a proactive effort to elevate the influence of the Lord in our cities but there is a tremendous spiritual impact on our own personal prayer lives as we experience the sincerity and strength of the prayers around us.

It is our hope to develop “point men and women” who will agree to devote some time to an area of focus within the city and keep the group updated on specific prayer needs. For example, John Rankin met with Vic Reed, Chief of the Escondido Fire Department, and got a more detailed sense of Chief Reed’s concerns. We would like to see this happen with other areas such as our city council members, the police department, chaplains who work with various city areas, etc.

Lastly, please remember that we intend to be praying for various aspects of the city all during the month and you can definitely be a vital part of the prayer group even if you can’t attend all or any of the prayer group gatherings. Pick the areas that the Lord puts on your heart and pray for both the individuals involved and the issues faced especially as we gather more detail in each area. The prayer updates will soon be posted on the website on a weekly basis.
